Lee Da-hae Becomes Senior Advisor at Chinese Company, Draws Attention with Unbelievable Live Stream Sales
On June 30, she uploaded a video titled “Actress Lee Da-hae Becomes an Advisor at a Chinese Company” to her YouTube channel 1+1=Lee Da-hae, offering fans a glimpse into her dynamic life in Shanghai.
In the vlog, Lee detailed her role at a company specializing in live commerce, content production, and MCN (multi-channel network) services. “The company also handles distributing and promoting Korean brands in China. Today, I’m attending a selection meeting to test and review products for upcoming live broadcasts,” she shared.
Using her celebrity influence, Lee helps introduce Korean products to the Chinese market. With humility, she added, “They say I’m doing it to boost national prestige, but I’m not sure if I’m doing a good job.” Her interactions with the youthful staff, mostly in their 20s, showcased mutual admiration. “She’s a perfectionist and someone we can learn so much from,” said one employee.
Lee also toured the company’s sprawling warehouse, describing it as “like a hypermarket,” and playfully joked about trying on dozens of outfits for promotional shoots: “They asked me to try on something cute, but I’m the advisor—I need to maintain some dignity!”
Reflecting on her cross-border career, Lee admitted, “At first, it was hard. I was afraid to take on this role as a foreigner, but eventually, I got used to it. People are adaptable creatures. Don’t be afraid—live boldly and have fun.”
Lee Da-hae, who married singer SE7EN in 2023, continues to juggle activities in both Korea and China. She recently made waves by helping achieve over 20 billion KRW (~$14.8 million) in sales during a single 30-minute live stream.
